The northern leopard frog (Lithobates pipiens) is a species of leopard frog that lived in the United States and Canada. They have a wide range of habitats, being found in forests and urban areas. It is usually insectivorous. However, it can eat other vertebrates, as a bat was even recorded as prey for this frog.
It is the state amphibian of Minnesota and Vermont.
