Paul Bowman is a wealthy British man in The Lost World: Jurassic Park. He has a daughter named Cathy and a wife named Deirdre. He owns a yacht with a fairly large crew.
He is based off the character Mike Bowman, a middle-class vacationer in the first Jurassic Park novel.
Film
Paul Bowman took his family on a yacht cruise to the Costa Rican offshore island in May 1997. Unfortunately, they unwittingly landed on Isla Sorna for a beach picnic.
While Paul was reading the paper, his daughter Cathy was attacked by Compsognathus. He is the first to hear Cathy screaming and runs after her along with his crew. Paul and Deirdre sue the InGen Corporation after the incident, but their compensation was settled outside of court.
Lego: Jurassic World
In the video game LEGO Jurassic World the incident with the Bowmans is only mentioned. However, all members of the Bowman family are unlockable characters.

- An unused Hammond quote from Jurassic Park: Trespasser says: "Fortunately the Bowmans settled out of court, but the damage had been done."
- If you listen closely when Paul and the crew run to help Cathy you can hear Paul say "Get away from my daughter!" although the line does not appear in the subtitles.[citation needed]
- Geoffery, Edward, Barry, Bernard and two others are the names of his crew/servants aboard his yacht.
