Pentaceratops (meaning "five-horned face") is an extinct genus of ceratopsian dinosaur from the Cretaceous Period. It was about 6 metres long, and it had a long frill, like other chasmosaurine ceratopsians.
Despite its name, Pentaceratops had three horns on its head, the same number as most other chasmosaurines. It received its name due to the size of its cheek bones, which resembled horns.
