The Peterbilt on the pier.
The Peterbilt 379 was a tractor semi trailer truck. One was present at the InGen Waterfront Complex awaiting the arrival of the S.S. Venture and its cargo of the Tyrannosaur buck. The truck featured a modified trailer capable of containing and carrying the large carnivore, and also came equipped with a tranquilizer rifle in case of emergencies.
When the Venture didn't slow down (due to its entire crew having been killed by the T. rex), the ship smashed into the pier, overturning the Peterbilt. After the dinosaur left the ship and proceeded into the city, InGen guard Hampton retrieved the tranq rifle from the Peterbilt's cab and gave it to Ian Malcolm and Sarah Harding so that they could recapture the animal.
