Pinacosaurus is an extinct genus of ankylosaurid dinosaur that lived in China and Mongolia during the Late Cretaceous period around 75 to 71 million years ago. It is the best known Asian ankylosaur due to numerous specimens discovered. While it is similar to the others, for example Saichania or Talarurus, it has its own distinctions.
Pinacosaurus was among the Mongolian dinosaurs discovered from the several Central Asiatic expeditions to the Flaming Cliffs during the 1920s.
