Purussaurus is a genus of crocodylomorph that lived in South America of the Miocene epoch. It looked very similar to modern alligators. Its size rivaled Sarcosuchus, Deinosuchus, and Rhamphosuchus. It lived in the Cenozoic Era, unlike the former two.
The skull length reached up to 57.2 inches, and the jaws had a bite strength of up to 69,000 Newtons, or 7-metric tons force per square inch. The massive size, T. rex-like bite force, and strength of this crocodylomorph would have allowed it to be an apex predator of its ecosystem.
Purussaurus has been confirmed to appear in Jurassic World: Alive, although it has been misspelled as "Purrusaurus".
