Regnosaurus (whose name means "Sussex lizard") is a genus of huayangosaurid stegosaur dinosaur from the Early Cretaceous that lived in what is now the country of England. The species contains only one genus that has been described so far, Regnosaurus northamptoni. Its jaws were very similar to the ones from the chinese Huayangosaurus. Regnosaurus have took many forms back in the days, the first time as an iguanodontid, then a scelidosaurid, a stegosaurid (but then it was also included in the ankylosaurids), a synonym of Hylaeosaurus and a sauropod. It was ultimately found to have been in the stegosaur family in 1993. Another stegosaur from that same time period and place, Craterosaurus, has been considered a synonym for this dinosaur.
