Synopsis[]
A frightening chase fuels Ben's theory that the Nublar Six are being hunted... but by whom? Darius agrees to go to Texas.
Plot Summary[]
The episode begins as Darius and Ben are attacked by an Atrociraptor. However, they manage to evade the animal briefly before running into the car. Darius realizes he left the keys in the cabin so they put the car in neutral even as the car is attacked by an Atrociraptor. As the car rolls down, they jump out of the car, and then run for Ben’s van, narrowly managing to evade the animal and drive away.
The Atrociraptors pursue them for some time until they finally manage to shake free of them. Darius realizes that the Atrociraptors weren’t released from Lockwood Manor, which Ben takes as proof they are being hunted, as well as Darius’s alarm system being disabled. Darius looks at Ben’s research in the back of his van. Darius is reluctantly convinced by Ben and is about to call Sammy, but Ben throws his phone out the window saying the phone traceable. They decide to go visit Sammy’s ranch in Texas to locate the others.
While driving, Ben has a flashback to receiving a phone call from Brooklynn during his studies at Delany University. He showed Brooklynn around the campus, and they reminisce over the past, while pondering the future with prehistoric animals sharing their world. Brooklynn speaks with Ben about her work as an investigative journalist.
Ben is convinced they are being followed by a car while they are driving. Ben accelerates to attempt to avoid their pursuers, however they are forced to stop due to a herd of Nasutoceratops crossing the road. The pursuing car ends up passing them as they breathe a sigh of relief. Ben is forced to pull over to a gas station due to needing to refill the van. As they pull in to the gas station, they encounter another Nasutoceratops resting. Ben gets out to refill the car, as he witnesses a man on a phone.
Darius pays the gas station attendant, who informs him they already attempted to call the Department of Prehistoric Wildlife, but the phone line was overwhelmed. The gas station attendant recognizes them as two of the Nublar Six. As Ben and Darius argue, the Nasutoceratops wakes up, and its horns get stuck on the pipe of the gas station, threatening the structure.
The two of them try to de-escalate the situation, as Ben comforts the stressed animal. Ben hands him a pack of chips to distract the dinosaur while they try to free the horns. Just then, the rest of the herd arrives, and the stressed dinosaur breaks the pipes, causing a gas spill just as the gas catches fire. The two free the Nasutoceratops just as the attendant comes back with the fire extinguisher, and Ben manages to catch the extinguisher, wiping out the flames before further damage to the gas station can occur. The Nasutoceratops rejoins the herd, and in gratitude the gas station attendant gives them free snacks for the road.
The pair drive off to go visit Sammy, but as they drive, Darius notices a car on the side of the road. As they drive past, the car follows them.
