Rhynchosaurus is a genus of rhynchosaur that lived during the Middle Triassic in what is now the United Kingdom. It used to have two additional species, but were renamed Fodonyx and Langeronyx respectively. Rhynchosaurus was named by Sir Richard Owen, who invented the name Dinosauria.

Rhynchosaurs are reptiles from the Triassic that have a worldwide distribution and are recognizable by their stocky body and their powerful beak, used for eating plants.

Rhynchosaurus is mentioned in the database entry of the Ischigualasto Formation, the dig site for Herrerasaurus. However, this formation comes from the Late Triassic and is found in Argentina, whereas Rhynchosaurus is from the Middle Triassic and lives in the United Kingdom.
