Robertosaurus rex is a hybrid of Tyrannosaurus rex and Velociraptor. Described as a "T-Rex 'on steroids'", it was created by sculptor Joe Laudati as a prototype for an un-produced Jurassic Park toy-line that would have involved "nastier" dinosaurs fighting against soldiers with "dino-fighting" gear and vehicles. It is named after the client that the sculpt was made for, who is currently unknown. It is possible, though unconfirmed, that its concept was heavily re-worked into the Indominus rex.
