The saltwater crocodile (Crocodylus porosus), also known as the estuarine crocodile, Indo-Pacific crocodile, marine crocodile, sea crocodile, and saltie, is a species of crocodile native from India to northern Australia, passing by Southeast Asia. As its name suggests, it is known to roam saltwater habitats, though it also inhabits brackish wetlands and freshwater rivers. It is the largest living reptile, being a large and opportunistic hypercarnivorous apex predator. The saltwater crocodile is regarded as dangerous to humans.
They have the capacity to prey on sharks, tapirs, water buffaloes, porcupines, and even tigers on rare occasions. An adult crocodile has no predators, but the juveniles do.
