Subhyracodon is a genus of extinct hornless rhinoceros from the Oligocene of South Dakota. Subhyracodon was one of the largest animals in the area, being about the size of a modern tapir. Lacking horns, Subhyracodon tended to rely more on its speed to escape from predators.
