The High Hide II is the eighteenth chapter in the Fourth Configuration. It shows how Levine is indifferent and oblivious to his injuries and only cares to observing dinosaur behavior.
Plot[]
Eddie has brought Richard Levine back to the High Hide for safety. Levine has some injuries and Eddie attempts to clean the wounds yet Levine says he feels no pain. He simply wishes to return to his observations of the dinosaurs which are nearby and find Eddie an annoyance. Levine says Eddie disturbs what he was doing previously; performing a similar cry to their calls. Eddie notes the palaeontologist has dinosaur feces in his ear and lacerations. He tries to clean it off and Levine gives an annoying cry. Eddies attempts are deems as unnecessary and Levine views the blood stain as minor, evening touching it. Despite Eddie telling him Sarah Harding has been picked up and taken down to the trailer, Levine insists he wants to return to his observations and not even greeting the animal behaviorist.
