The Next Step: An Evolution of God’s Concepts is a book written by Dr. Henry Wu in 1995. In the book, Dr. Wu discusses the possibility of creating new species by combining various already existing species. The inspiration for this idea came from Dr. Wu discovering that the dinosaurs he had cloned for InGen were able to change sex and breed due to amphibian DNA used to fill the gaps in their reconstructed genome. Two years later, Henry and his team of InGen scientists created a hybrid plant named after him: Karacosis wutansis (Wu Flower). [1] After the flower's creation, Wu wrote that he would have to update his book.[2] It is unknown if he ever did.

Much like selective breeding within domestic animals, but with this, we would be combining several species into one new animal. Today's technological limitation means we are decades away from achieving this, maybe even fifty years away, but who knows, hopefully in my life time we could see it become a reality.[1]
