The toco toucan (Ramphastos toco) is a species of toucan with a wingspan of 22 to 26 centimeters that live in the forests of South America. It can also be found in the tropical savannahs, gallery forests, and wetlands as well. The main diet of the toco toucan are fruits, but they also eat insects and small vertebrates. Two subspecies are known.
The bill of the toucan varies in length from 173 to 215 millimeters (6.8 to 8.5 inches) in males and 158 to 202 millimeters (6.2 to 8.0 inches) in females, on average measuring 200.5 millimeters (7.89 inches) long in males and 178.6 millimeters (7.03 inches) long in females. Used for heat exchange, the beak has the ability to modify blood flow and regulate heat distribution in the body, comparable to that of elephant ears.

The DNA of the toco toucan is used for the Forest Adaptation trait gene (added in the Secrets of Dr. Wu DLC) that can be used to make dinosaurs that prefer forest areas over open grass.
