"Nothing in Jurassic World is natural, we have always filled gaps in the genome with the DNA of other animals."
This page contains content about a currently unidentifiable species from the Jurassic Park franchise. Until official sources confirm the identity of this species, the page will remain Unidentified long-tongued pterosaur until further notice. |
The Unidentified long-tongued pterosaur was a species of pterosaur that only appeared on the alternate cover of the first issue of the IDW comics series Jurassic Park: Dangerous Games, where it was perching on the frill of a charging Triceratops.
Identity[]
The pterosaur lacks a tail, suggesting that it is a pterodactyloid. Though the pterosaur Liaoxipterus was hypothesized as having a long, chameleonlike tongue like this pterosaur, it lacked a crest and this suggestion (which has since been disproven) was made several years after the comic's release. The crest on the beak of the pterosaur resembles that of Pterodactylus, but there isn't enough evidence to confirm that this is the identity of this pterosaur.
