The Venezuela forest pit viper (Bothrops medusa) is a species of pit viper from the genus Bothrops (the lanceheads) that is endemic to Venezuela, living in the forest. Members of his genus are responsible for more human deaths than any other groups of venomous snakes. But despite this, the species is listed as endangered by the IUCN.
